Chrisitanity is Crisis

Take a look at this interesting video of how Christianity is being attacked in Europe. America seems headed for this same extreme, so it really is a culturally relevant issue for us.

It's interesting that people who are not Christians think that faith is something that is simply acknowledged in private - something that doesn't affect the rest of life. Their worldview affects and effects the way they live the rest of their life, so why do they expect ours to be so private and unimportant. Is the problem a lack of understanding of history?, a lack of understanding of what "faith" is? or a response to a poor witness from Chrsitians for so long? Whose fault is this? Or is this the way it simply is supposed to be?

It's also important for us to remember though, that Christ made a very important promise to us (I say "us" because it is about us, the Church) regarding His Bride. Christ said about the Church, "The gates of hell will not be able to stand against it." Remember that, no matter how bad things get, the Church will never be completely destroyed. In the worst times of history, the Church has thrived. God has preserved His people and always will. When the world attacks us, they refuse to believe they are setting themselves against a sovereign God. I'm glad we're on this side of the equation. The Gospel and the Cross of Christ have been attacked for 2000 years and have never fallen. Amen.

Over the next several days, I will be posting topics on "How to know if you are listening to a God-honoring preacher", "How to know if you are saved", and "How do I study the Bible?". These are intended to be very practical and simple posts based on the instruction we find in the New Testament. I look forward to hearing your responses. God Bless.

With you for His glory
